Red Lantern Project Management in association with The Birmingham Book Festival and selected creative partners (Mez Packer, Rochi Rampal and The Adhere Creative Ltd) are creating an interactive story telling experience.
We are guiding audience members on a journey through a specially commissioned story that will begin online, include a live flash performance event and reach its conclusion inside a digitally crafted installation space housed within a disused unit in Birmingham city centre.
Audience members will be able to physically affect the outcome of the story told through a variety of different media platforms these may include mobile device, touch screen technology, QR codes, audio messaging and the printed page.
This project is a first for the Book Festival and for Birmingham and for literature (that we know of) it is an experiment in taking the art form of literature into a carefully constructed digital environment and in creating stories that move beyond a traditional linear narrative format to create something unexpected.
